Manchin working to keep Applied Card in Huntington

Gov. Joe Manchin wants to keep Applied Card Systems and its 350jobs in Huntington.

The governor met Monday with leaders of the company in an effortto keep it from closing its Cabell County office. The meeting, whichincluded state and local development officials, followed rumors thecompany was planning to shut down, said Gerry McDonald, president ofthe Huntington Area Development Council.
